The Summerville Chapter of CCA SC invites you to their Annual “Celebrating Conservation” Banquet and Auction to honor the Lowcountry’s leaders in conservation at the Shimano headquarters in Ladson, SC on July 21st, 2018. Doors open at 6:00 pm and tickets are available for pre-order or at the door.

This year’s event will feature the presentation of a check for $25,000, made out to the Waddell Mariculture Center, located in Bluffton, SC. The funds are the result of Project ReSpeck, which is a fund set up by the Community and Professional Response Initiative (CPR Initiative). As the CPR Initiative’s first undertaking, Project ReSpeck successfully raised $25,000 to help mitigate the gruesome fish kill that struck Charleston and the surrounding coastline in the first weeks of 2018. The funds will be used to purchase 5 breeding tanks that will produce 600,000 to 700,000 speckled sea trout each year and be located at the Waddell Mariculture Center in Bluffton.

Along with the banquet, each chapter hosts a silent auction and this year’s selections include custom firearms, hand painted murals and unique surprise items. Bidding will start when doors open at 6:00 pm and will conclude before the start of the live auction. The live auction will feature fishing tackle, catered parties, outdoor recreation equipment and a once in a lifetime vacation package.

The Charleston Bay Gourmet will offer Frogmore stew, fried flounder bites, whole-pig bbq and a selection of deserts to enjoy throughout the evening. Two open bars will accommodate guests and include a variety of spirits and selected microbrews.
